A digital credential, on the other hand, can be duplicated effortlessly. Imagine a hacker breaks into your computer and steals a single credential: they can now make an unlimited number of copies and use them to power a basically infinite army of bot accounts, or sell them to underage minors, all of whom will appear to have valid credentials.
